Healing Eczema with Coconut Oil

I have had eczema most of my life. My earliest memories of a breakout started at 7 years old. More than likely I had eczema since I was an infant, but 7 is my earliest memory. My breakouts are usually stress related and the older I got, the more painful they became.
The origins and reasons of eczema are not entirely known. Scientists aren’t sure if the breakouts are genetic or if certain skin types are more prone to the problem than others. Some reasons that have made my eczema flare up in the past include stress, cold weather, soaps, detergents, fabric softeners, insect repellents and many more.
After suffering with frequent breakouts for years, I decided to visit a dermatologist, who seemed to have no more anwers than I did. One summer, after an extreme breakout, I was given and steroid shot and put on prednisone. Both worked, but my breakout returned quickly and severely after I got off of them. This is when I decided that there had to be a better solution to my problem and when I discovered the healing power of coconut oil. Coconut oil is very moisturizing when used topically and a miracle in a bottle when taken orally on a regular basis.
Since I have been eating coconut oil daily, I have not suffered from a single eczema breakout since. Bonuses include dry patches of skin that have softened up and my skin always has a nice natural glow to it. There may be no fountain of youth, but I believe in miracles in a bottle with extra virgin coconut oils.
