Coconut Oil Diet Secrets For Life

Coconut oil saved my life and gave me my life again. Believe it or not, I was bedridden a year ago. I was a healthy young woman in her 20’s, who became bedridden all of a sudden. I went to multiple doctors for help and no one had an answer for me. I went to a chiropracter to prescribed a $300.00 herbal tea for me. Yes, I bought it because I was desperate to have my life back. Another doctor told me I had the cholesterol level of a 60 year old woman.
After months of being sick, I finally read an article on coconut oil. I had nothing to lose, so I purchased a small jar of it from my local health food store, that cost about $7.00, and starting taking 3-4 tablespoons of it daily. Within one week, I felt better than I had felt in a year. After two weeks, I lost 15 pounds. After a month of taking coconut oil, I felt like my old vivacious self. Old scars and dark spots on my elbows and knees hardened up, then fell off; leaving baby soft skin in it’s place. My hair had a new found luster, but most importantly, I finally had my life back. So much for the $300.00 herbal tea.
Saturated fats can be good for you. Much of today’s Standard American Diet is based on the faulty idea that saturated fat is bad for you and replacing saturated fat with “heart healthy” vegetable oils is better. Yet since Americans have lived with a diet of low saturated fat, all we have done is become unhealthier, and our illnesses and obesity rates are at an all time high.
Dieting does not work. Fad diets, which include strict low calorie diets and quick weight loss diets, help us initially to lose weight by burning muscle and dumping water. But once the body understands that it is being starved, it starts hoarding fat, and you start craving it. Suddenly you start binging on the wrong kinds of fats, like French fries, donuts and potato chips. You can’t help it.
It is your body’s natural defense mechanism to keep you from starving. So as you binge, you break the low calorie diet and start to gain weight. In the end, you weigh more than when you started the diet. This is called the yo-yo diet cycle.
Low-fat diets are usually very low on the protein we need to build muscles. This is why so many people on low-fat diets find it so hard to lose weight and build muscle. They also become tired very easily.
Low-fat diets also keep you feeling hungry, which is another reason low-fat dieters over-eat. Low-fat diets are usually high carbohydrate diets. We need good complex carbohydrates in our diet, but without healthy fats, you will lack energy, have a lower metabolism, and still get fat. Good fats in our diet help control and regulate our appetite, so we feel satisfied and don’t over-eat.
So try it for yourself. I double dare you! When you start eating coconut oil daily, you will burn fat and increase your metabolism with the good fats in the coconut oil. For extra energy, try supplementing the coconut oil with a B Vitamin, daily. Good fats are necesary for life.
